| 2007 Gran Premio |
|
GRAN PREMIO is a blend of two Sangiovese clones situated on the south face of our Three Creek Vineyard located in the Happy Canyon area at the east end the Santa Ynez Valley. We get a classic expression of old world Sangiovese akin to remembrances of Tuscan dry red wines. 2007 was an ideal year as the grapes flavored before ripeness allowing us to pick without excessive sugar. We fermented entirely in barrique open top wood fermenters which yielded a wine with fine tannins, subtle fruit, spiciness, an earthy complexity, with persistence, and length.
127 six-packs produced.

| 2006 Le Clos Secret |
|
“Le Clos Secret” is a blend of Bordeaux varietals from the Three Creek Vineyard estate consisting of 45% Cabernet Franc, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon (from three clones: 8, 15, and 337), 15% Petit Verdot, and 5% Malbec.
Le Clos Secret plantings are situated on the south faces of the vineyard in the warmer Happy Canyon eastern region of Santa Ynez. This is a place where Bordeaux varietals thrive; producing fruit filled, highly structured, intricate wines that have the wine-world taking notice.
2006 was an exceptional year as the weather allowed for the fruit to slowly ripen into Fall. Winemaker Doug Margerum used a combination of heads-off barrels (yes, it was barrel fermented) and small open top fermenters to produce a wine of extraordinary finesse. “Le Clos Secret” is a secret no more and the plan is that it will always be Cimarone’s top estate wine.. Not so much stunning as it is perfect.
