Our philosophy is to produce limited quantities of very high quality wines from estate grown fruit on our Three Creek Vineyard (3CV), making the wine at our on-site Winery. We thus have control from vine to bottle and can reflect the desires of the wine maker in the vineyard farming practices to obtain optimal results. We are fortunate in having on our team Jeff Newton and Ben Merz of pre-eminent vineyard managers Coastal Vineyard Care and leading wine maker Doug Margerum.

Cimarone Wines

From our 27.5 acre CCOF organically certified vineyard we produce estate wines under two labels: Cimarone and 3CV.

From our initial 2005 harvest we made limited quantities of Cimarone Estate Cabernet Franc and Cimarone Estate Syrah. The Cabernet Franc is effectively sold out and only small quantities of the Syrah remain.

Under the Cimarone label available Fall 2008 will be the Bordeaux varietals blend 2006 Le Clos Secret and the Sangiovese 2006 Gran Premio. These will continue in the future to be our premier wines.

Under the 3CV label we will be making from the 2008 harvest onwards 3CV Syrah and from the 2009 harvest onwards 3CV Sauvignon Blanc.

  Three Creek Vineyard

Our Three Creek Vineyard is located in the Happy Canyon region of the Santa Ynez Valley, where the soil and climate are ideally suited to the Bordeaux, Sangiovese and Rhone varietals. The vineyard was planted during 2001 and 2002, and we are neighbours to Vogelzang, Star Lane, Happy Canyon, McGinley (ex-Westerly) and Grassini vineyards.

We grow Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Malbec, Merlot, Sangiovese, Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc. The vineyard has been farmed organically since inception and we were awarded CCOF certification in 2007.
