Cimarone Wines

From our 26 acre CCOF organically certified vineyard we produce estate wines under two labels: Cimarone and 3CV.

Our wines represent the vineyard’s ultimate achievement, and the very best our winery has to offer. Small-lot fermentation, rigorous selection, new French oak barrels, and extended aging in our cool cellar together ensure collectible wines in a class by themselves.

The Cimarone Estate label produces wines exclusively from the property: Le Clos Secret, which is a masterful blend of Bordeaux varietals, and a Sangiovese named Gran Premio. An Estate Sauvignon Blanc is being added in Spring 2010, followed by an Estate Reserve Syrah in Fall 2010.

Our 3CV label produces wines for earlier drinking and accessibility. We have a fantastic Estate Blend named 3CV BANK and a 3CV SYRAH. We will complete our 3CV portfolio in Spring 2010 with the introduction of a 3CV VIOGNIER and a 3CV Sauvignon Blanc.

Our Estate Syrah is very dark in color with old world aromas of pepper, earth, licorice, cola and plums generous in the mouth as the supple tannins and zesty fruit present a marriage of power and finesse.

  Three Creek Vineyard

Our Three Creek Vineyard is located in the Happy Canyon region of the Santa Ynez Valley, where the soil and climate are ideally suited to the Bordeaux, Sangiovese and Rhone varietals. The vineyard was planted during 2001 and 2002, and we are neighbours to Vogelzang, Star Lane, Happy Canyon, McGinley (ex-Westerly) and Grassini vineyards.

We grow Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Malbec, Merlot, Sangiovese, Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc. The vineyard has been farmed organically since inception and we were awarded CCOF certification in 2007.
